Run by Chef Christie Peters and Chef Kyle Michael, Primal focuses on creating time honoured Italian food and handmade pasta using local ingredients! The interior has an intimate vintage vibe that is perfect for a romantic night for two or a fun night out with a group!

Prefer your pasta stuffed? Every Thursday this farm-owned restaurant showcases one of Chef Brian Gibbons’ signature stuffed pasta dishes with a wine pairing picked by sommelier Lacey Sellinger. It is the perfect way to set the tone for what your weekend will be. Pasta and wine on a Thursday? You know how to live! PS. They also have a seasonal pasta dish you can get any day of the week.
Bar Stella
The new kid on the block. Bar Stella opened June 1st 2023! Their slogan is “Unfussy Italian”. They serve American-Italian classics like spaghetti alfredo and rigatoni with rose sauce. Their space has two floors that are bright and inviting. A perfect place for a casual dinner and drink!
Taverna Italian Kitchen + Bar

A Saskatoon fave since it opened in 1969! Taverna is a rustic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown. They use the best imported Italian ingredients complimented by local products when possible. They have a large menu, so you are sure to find something for everyone!
Little Grouse on the Prairie

Another downtown Saskatoon favourite is Little Grouse on the Prairie. It is an intimate space with a beautiful chef driven menu that changes with the season. Opened by TV’s Chef Dale McKay’s Grassroots Restaurant Group, It is the perfect pasta place for an intimate gathering!
