Saskatooning this May
May is when Saskatoon really starts to wake up. The days feel longer, patios begin to fill, and the city’s event lineup makes it easy to build a night out (or an entire weekend) around something memorable. From performances and immersive arts events, to outdoor experiences and community gatherings, here’s what’s happening around the city this May.

On May 4th, celebrate Star Wars Day with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace – Show of Hope Fundraiser at the Broadway Theatre. Arrive early for character photo opportunities and stay for the screening, with proceeds supporting the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan.
Later in the month, catch Bruce McCulloch: The Dark Purple Slice Tour at the Broadway Theatre on May 21st, blending sharp humour and storytelling into a stand‑out night downtown.

A live game is one of the easiest ways to tap into Saskatoon’s energy. Experience the high‑intensity atmosphere of a Saskatoon Mamba home matchup as the season begins.
Baseball season is also starting at the end of the month, with Saskatoon Berries games at Cairns Field offering a relaxed, outdoor way to spend a spring evening.
