5 Saskatoon Activities to Try in 2026

Entertainment, Families, Outdoors & Adventure, Sports
Posted By Mariah Warriner , January 12, 2026

When I moved to Saskatoon a year ago, I started a Saskatoon Bucket List to keep track of all of the things I wanted to try around the city. Here are five experiences straight from my list to add to your 2026 resolutions!

Take a Leap with Skydive Saskatoon

If we’re talking bucket-list experiences, skydiving is one of the most iconic activities you can find. Luckily, Skydive Saskatoon is here to make your skydiving dreams come true and operates from May 1 to September 27th. You can either tandem jump with an experienced staff member or take a course to learn to jump solo! This may just be the best view of the prairies you’ll ever find!

Experience New Live Music Events

Check some concert experiences off your bucket-list this year, because 2026 is an exciting year for the Saskatoon music scene! We are hosting the Canadian Country Music Awards in September, as well as a week of live country music shows around the city. Additionally, the Outskirts Music Festival is debuting this June, bringing Jelly Roll and Third Eye Blind to the SaskTel Centre grounds for a day of non-stop music! Finally, if you haven’t already attended Saskatoon classic events like Rock the River and the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, this is your year!

Make Your Mark and Go Ceramic Painting

Embrace your artistic side and enjoy an afternoon of ceramic painting at Wet Paint Pottery! You can select what you want to paint from a vast selection of dishes, decor, and household items. You can walk in anytime during operating hours, no appointment needed. Not only do you get a fun experience, but you also get to take home a souvenir you created. Who knows, you might have just made a future family heirloom!

Bust A Move and Take a Dance Class

No matter what kind of dance you’re hoping to learn, Saskatoon is sure to have a class for you to try. Highlights include line-dancing, West-Coast Swing, ballet, or salsa classes, depending on whether you prefer to dance alone or with a partner! Check out Dance Alive Studios, Saskatoon Salsa, Dance Addiction YXE, Saskatoon Pole & Dance Studio, and many more local studios to find the class and style for you. Bonus: you’ll have some new moves to show off next time you hit the dance floor with friends!

Cheer on Saskatoon Teams At a Local Game

A must-try activity for any Saskatoon local or tourist is heading to a live sporting event. Depending on the season, you could go to a Saskatoon Blades’ hockey game, a Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse game, a Saskatoon Berries’ baseball game, a Saskatoon Hilltops football game, or any university sport event to support Huskie Athletics! Better yet, you could go for a ‘grand slam’ and attend a game for each sport throughout 2026!

If any of these activities have been on your bucket list and you’re looking for a sign to take the leap, this is it. Here’s to an amazing 2026 in Saskatoon!
