Happy April! Spring is officially here, and you can feel it in the air! We have longer days, birds chirping, and crisp and fresh air! Now, being in Saskatchewan, we might still get one more dump of snow, but we can get through that! Let's look at what is going on in April this month.

How about those Saskatoon Blades?? They have clinched the playoffs again this season. They are taking on the Prince Albert Raiders in the first round. The first game two home games are in March. 28th and March. 29th at 7:00 PM at SaskTel Centre. Be sure to watch our event page for more playoff games coming up. Let's pack the arena and cheer on our home team, Saskatoon Blades!

The Saskatchewan Rush have three home games this month! They'll be held on April 6th, 13th, and 20th at SaskTel Centre, all starting at 7:00 PM. If you haven't been to a game this season, it's time to get out and enjoy one as the season is slowly coming to an end. GO, RUSH, GO!

As I mentioned, Spring is in the air, and with that, we have many great spring markets coming up this month. It is the perfect time to shop local and grab some new spring décor! Be sure to check out Kith & Kin, which will be held on April 13th and 14th and feature over 125 vendors. We also have the What Women Want Spring Market Tradeshow on April 19th and 20th at Prairieland Park!

The weekend of April 12th-14th at Prairieland Park, the Saskatoon Tattoo Expo is back, and it is bigger and better than ever! If you are a tattoo enthusiast, you won't want to miss this event. There will be tattoo artists and vendors from all over the world!

If you have yet to go to the Western Development Museum (WDM), you will want to check it out on April. 2, as they are celebrate WDM turns 75! They will have cupcakes and games and will have 75¢ admission all day!

On April 26th  & 27th, back for their annual event, Top of the Hops- Grapes & Grains will be happening at Prairieland Park! This fun event features over 200 foods and liquor sampled from across the prairies! Submerge yourself in local brews, rare spirits, and fine wines.

The Dueling Pianos are back on April 27th at TCU Place. If you haven't been before, this event is SO fun! I attended last Spring and danced and sang my heart out (I can't say I was any good!), but it is great entertainment! You can choose to get a table for supper and performance or just performance. More information is here.

Okay, so this event I'm excited about and already have tickets to take my children, The Little Mermaid, is coming to the Persephone Theatre! It will be running from April. 10th – May 5th with various times. If you have wanted to take your children to a Persephone show, I highly recommend checking this show out (plus, they have some afternoon matinee shows for the littles!) More information here

Also happening at the Back Stage- Persephone, this month is the play King Lear, the story of a king who bequeaths his power and land to two of his three daughters. The play will be performed in Cree, French and English.

If you are a Canada's Drag Race fan, you will want to attend this event! Check out the Charity Fashion Show on April 13th at the Brick Loft Event Co. featuring Chelazon Leroux. Enjoy an evening of upcoming fashion trends, a trade show of local vendors, and stand-up comedy from Chelazon Leroux!
