June 1st marks the beginning of pride for people all around the world! Although you may think the only event for Pride Month is the Pride Parade, we can assure you that there are tons more! In fact, let’s take you through Pride in Saskatoon with Your Guide To Pride.

Pride Parade

Of course, one of the main showcases of the month happens to be the Pride Parade that takes place on June 22nd. Saskatoon’s biggest and most colourful parade of the year is in downtown Saskatoon with a demonstration of solidarity with the city’s 2 Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual community.

In addition, for the second year in a row, there will be a Pride Market & Community Service Village! Many vendors come from far and wide to showcase their drool-worthy food, fantastical art, and unique creations. Don’t miss out on some of the coolest booths in Saskatoon!

Queermunity Theatre Race

It’s your time in the spotlight! Everyone in the Saskatoon Queer community (2SLGBTQIA+ and their allies) is invited to celebrate Pride Month at Persephone! Teams will be performing a 10-15-minute original play in celebration of Pride Month on June 14th. The teams participating in the Queermunity Theatre Race have only 48 hours to create and rehearse their play - after that, it’s showtime!
