5 Things to do this Autumn in Saskatoon
It’s officially Autumn in Saskatoon! One of the most beautiful seasons of the year. Fall does go by quickly though, so if you want to make the most of fall in Saskatoon check out this bucket list!
One: Black Fox Farm Pumpkin Patch
Black fox is a must-visit no matter what season it is, but fall is something special! Head out to Black Fox Farm and Distillery for pumpkin picking! Make an evening out of it by booking a spot on the patio and cozying up to one of their fireplaces!
Two: Warm Bevvies
There is something so lovely about cool air and a warm drink. Saskatoon has so many amazing coffee shops! Three of my top picks for a treat-yourself fall moment are the Dirty Chai Latte at Drift Sidewalk Café, the Diego Latte at Citizen Café and Bakery, and the Lavender Latte at Living Sky Café! Grab your favourite warm drink and take a walk along the Meewasin River Valley!
Three: Experience the changing colours at Beaver Creek
One of the best places in Saskatoon to really soak in the changing seasons is Beaver Creek. Pack a snack and take a walk in the valley! If you time your trip appropriately you may even get a chance to observe sheep grazing for conservation reasons.
Four: Comfort food
Cold weather equals comfort food. This fall, skip the salad and bite into something carb-filled. Some top picks for this are Baba’s Homestyle Perogies (they have a drive-thru for optimal social distancing!), Primal for freshly made pasta, and Calories for some amazing cheesecakes.
Five: Explore
Even if you’re not currently a student fall brings back all the nostalgia of school days. For that reason, it is the PERFECT time to explore the University grounds. Take a scholarly selfie in the Bowl, or wander through the Sculpture Garden.
