A "Berry" Helpful Guide to the Saskatoon Berries Baseball!
Fun fact: fans got to vote on the team name, and "The Berries" came out on top. A perfect fit, if you ask me! If you haven't been to a game yet, here's everything you need to know for a berry good time this summer.
Location
The Berries play at NexGen Patch at Cairns Field, located at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex in the city's southwest corner. I'd only ever been there for football and track, so I didn't know what to expect, but wow, what a gorgeous diamond! If you're visiting Saskatoon or planning a summer staycation, book a site at the nearby Gordon Howe Campground. You can walk to and from the game, which is perfect for a no-fuss summer night out.

Parking
Good news, there's plenty of free parking! You can park at the Main Gate lot, accessible via Dudley Street and Avenue R, or the South Gate lot, located off Avenue P near the FFUN Performance Centre. Just note that these lots are shared with other facilities, so they may be busier during multi-event days.
Need a hand getting to the stadium? Berries volunteers offer golf cart shuttle rides to and from the gates, and accessible parking is available at both locations with clearly marked stalls.

Food & Drink
Let's be honest; you can't go to a ball game without snacks. The Berries have you covered with all the baseball classics: spitz, licorice, cotton candy, hotdogs… the works. I had a hot dog, and because it was my first professional baseball game, I had to get Cracker Jacks (you know, for the nostalgia and the song).

If you're feeling adventurous, try the Saskatoon Berry Burger, topped with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, and Saskatoon berry aioli. I wasn't brave enough to give it a go, but I've heard great things! They also have a 9 Mile Berries Beer that is super refreshing and delicious!
New this year:
- The Loaded Nacho Helmet feeds four… or one very determined fan
- Saskatoon Berry Lemonade (now a permanent cocktail menu item!)
- Saskatoon Berry Tarts, need I say more?

Atmosphere
games, and Berryland for the kids, there's something for everyone to enjoy. You'll also find:
- A pitching lane
- Pie-eating contests
- T-shirt tosses
- Autograph sessions
- Fireworks after the game and so much more!
Hot tip: Bring your glove! Foul balls can come from all directions, and if you catch one and turn it in, you'll get a free slush coupon from Saskatoon Co-op!

Barry the Bear & Merch!
Don't forget to say hi to Barry, the Bear he wears jersey #3.14 (get it? 3.14 = pi = pie... Barry Pie!). It took me a second, too. 😄 You can also pick up some cute and colourful Berries merch at the park or at The Fez if you want to stock up ahead of time.

Getting Tickets
You can purchase regular seating tickets or opt for general admission, which gives you the freedom to hang out along the fence on either baseline. For a party vibe, grab a spot on the Leopold's Party Patio! General admission is just $12, such a steal for a night of entertainment. Check out the full schedule here.

The Game
This was my first professional baseball game, and I had so much fun! I grew up playing ball and still play slow pitch, so I had a decent grasp of the game. But don't worry if you're new here's a quick crash course! Each game consists of nine innings, and both teams take turns playing defence (in the field) and offence (at bat). The goal when fielding is to get three outs, then switch.

Between innings, the entertainment keeps rolling with music, games, crowd interaction, and more. The Berry theme is woven into everything, truly bringing the whole experience to life. It's family-friendly, exciting, and definitely summer bucket list–worthy.
Go Berries Go!
