THE WEIGHT WE SILENTLY CARRY: Stories of Invisible Disabilities
Not every disability is visible.
Many people live with chronic illness, chronic pain, mental health conditions, neurodivergence, sensory impairments, brain injuries, and other invisible disabilities that profoundly impact their daily lives. Yet these experiences often go unseen, misunderstood, or unspoken.
The Weight We Silently Carry is an evening of storytelling, connection, and community. Through personal stories shared by individuals with lived experience, we will explore themes of identity, loss, resilience, hope, advocacy, and what it means to navigate a world that cannot always see your struggles.
Join us for:
- Personal stories from 5–6 speakers
- A moderated audience Q&A panel
- Opportunities to connect with speakers and attendees afterward
- A welcoming space for learning, empathy, and community
Whether you live with an invisible disability, support a loved one, work in a helping profession, or simply want to listen and learn, you are warmly invited.
Guest hosted by Aliya Khalid and Tyrell Sargent.
Everyone has a story. Some are simply harder to see.
