Book Launch: Hromada with Alan B. Anderson

Join us for the launch of Hromada: The Changing Ukrainian Community in Saskatchewan (2025), a new book by Alan B. Anderson.

At its core, Hromada explores how immigrant communities reshape ideas of home and identity over time—what is carried forward, what changes, and how each generation builds on the last. Focusing on Ukrainian settlement in Saskatchewan since the late 1890s, the book traces the evolution of these communities through periods of change and renewal.

Anderson will present a 45-minute talk followed by Q&A. A Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Saskatchewan, he brings decades of research on immigration and ethnic communities to this work.
