Saskatchewan Transplant Program Presents: Because I Can - FREE SCREENING

Event September 17th, 2026
Time Doors Open 6:00pm Showtime 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Live panel and Q&A after the film

Would you give a kidney to a stranger? One Canadian did — and her decision started a chain of transplants across the country.

Join the Saskatchewan Transplant Program (Saskatchewan Health Authority) and Canadian Blood Services for a free community screening of Because I Can, a Canadian documentary following one living kidney donor’s journey through the Kidney Paired Donation Program — the national program that can turn a single donation into a chain of transplants.

After the film, stay for a live expert panel and audience Q&A with healthcare providers from the Saskatchewan Transplant Program, a living kidney donor, and a transplant recipient. No medical background needed. Come curious.

Right now, more than 100 people in Saskatchewan are waiting for a kidney transplant. One evening can change how you think about what one person can do.

Admission is free. This event is part of Living Kidney Donation Week (September 13–19, 2026). Wear green if you can!
