During this walk, we'll delve into the rich history and significance of the 148-acre greenspace, named in honor of George Genereux. Discover the inspiring story of George Genereux, an all-round athlete, and learn about his profound impact on Saskatoon, alongside his childhood friends and the city's pioneering figures, including Dr. Dick Baltzan, Professor Emeritus Dr. Don Bailey, and city builder Peter Semko. The Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Area have previously secured funding for George Genereux Urban Regional Park, encompassing education and awareness initiatives, barriers, and signage projects.
