Beyond Adornment

Beyond Adornment, presented by the non profit organization, Wiebe Works, is taking place at the Saskatoon Club. The full installation will run from November 16th to 22nd with the reception on November 20th, and will then be partially moved to be featured at Rockin’ Around Riversdale, hosted by Frankly, Agency, on November 22nd.

Beyond Adornment is a powerful art exhibition that explores beads as more than decoration. Through vivid paintings and intricate beadwork, this collaborative collection tells stories of history, identity, and human connection—highlighting how these tiny, shimmering objects have carried meaning across time and cultures.

Artist Valerie Wiebe presents a series of paintings incorporating intricate beadwork, each thoughtfully paired with a beadwork dress by Onyx by Valentina. Together, their work creates a dialogue between visual art and fashion, weaving shared narratives that transcend mediums.
