Whooping Crane 1-day guided tour

Learn from Stan the history of the Whooping Crane Conservation program that began in Saskatchewan in the 1920s. Before settlement about 10,000 Whooping Cranes nested on the prairies. The Canadian population dropped to just 14 or 15 birds in 1941 but have now rebounded to about 557 birds.
