Opening Reception for Folk Imaginaries

Join us at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada for the official kickoff to the 2025 UHCNA Conference and Folk Imaginaries. This special evening offers a chance to meet participants from across North America engaged in Ukrainian heritage, and to hear welcoming remarks from the Museum’s Executive Director along with curator Natalka Chomiak.

Folk Imaginaries celebrates the history and global influence of Ukrainian fashion, from village embroidery to Parisian runways, featuring treasures from the Museum’s renowned textile collection, rare private loans, and striking designs by Dior, Valentino, and Alexander McQueen.
