Halloween Dentalium Earrings Workshop
Spend a fall day creating, learning and connecting at Wanuskewin Heritage Park.
Join Plains Cree artist Jewel Head for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own dentalium earrings while exploring the history of certain materials on the Northern Plains.
The workshop also includes acrylic painting, giving you the opportunity to add your own creative touch to your earrings. All materials are provided.
About the Artist:
Jewel Head is a Plains Cree artist from Saskatoon and a member of James Smith Cree Nation, Peter Chapman Band. A self-taught artist, Jewel works with a variety of mediums including paint, hide, shell, beads and fabric.
Her art is inspired by the world around her and her relations, and she uses her work as a way to connect with others, the land and her culture. Jewel is also an interpretive guide at Wanuskewin, where she continues to learn and share traditional ways of living, skills, knowledge and teachings.

Your workshop fee includes:

• Admission to Wanuskewin Heritage Park

The Wanuskewin Restaurant will also be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Gift Shop will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
