Goose lake is home to nesting ducks, grebes, herons and other water birds.
Black-crowned Night Herons are often seen here.
Grasslands near Goose lake attract Sprague’s Pipit, Western Meadowlarks and Upland Sandpipers. Uncommon Long-billed Curlews are sometimes found here.
Some additional possible birds that might be found in summer include Ferruginous Hawk, Red-necked Grebe, Wilson’s Snipe, Belted Kingfisher.
