United on Stage: Yevshan and Rusalka in Concert is a powerful celebration of Ukrainian Canadian culture, artistry, and community—bringing together two of Canada’s premier Ukrainian dance ensembles on one stage.
This special Saskatoon performance unites the Yevshan Ukrainian Folk Ballet Ensemble (Saskatoon) with the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble (Winnipeg) in a landmark interprovincial collaboration. Audiences will experience a dynamic 90‑minute program featuring athletic virtuosity, expressive storytelling, and vibrant traditional and contemporary choreography performed by both ensembles.

The concert builds on a strong artistic relationship between Yevshan and Rusalka, including their acclaimed joint appearance at Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival in 2022. United on Stage transforms that connection into a full co‑production, highlighting collaboration, cultural exchange, and shared heritage across the Prairies. A highlight of the evening will be a shared finale, as dancers from both ensembles come together on stage to perform the iconic Hopak, symbolizing unity, friendship, and the enduring strength of Ukrainian culture.
