SASK-120: Celebrating the 120th Anniversary of Saskatchewan

A special event at the Remai Modern to mark the 120th anniversary of the formation of Saskatchewan in 1905!

September 4th, Reception & Dinner, 5:30pm, hosted by Evan Bray with speakers including, the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, the Office of the Treaty Commissioner, Dr. Peter Stoicheff, and Dr. Bill Waiser (Sask Historian).  

History

Join us as we will celebrate the history of Saskatchewan. From the history of Indigenous peoples, to the fur trade, to European immigration, the growth of agriculture, economic growth, the Treaties, truth and reconciliation to Saskatchewan’s place in the world.

Saskatchewan is a community; one made up of countless smaller communities that together make up our Province. Join us as we celebrate communities from across Saskatchewan: First Nations, Metis, Newcomers, Settlers, from all corners of Saskatchewan, and all Nations, villages, towns and Cities.

Saskatchewan’s economy has evolved throughout the past 120 years  from the fur trade, to agriculture, to mining, to oil, to technology and more. Join us as we highlight the major milestones in the growth of the Saskatchewan economy and our place in the global economy.
