Infinite Expansions: Collage in Many Forms

Infinite Expansions invites visitors into the vibrant possibilities of collage, assemblage, and montage. Bringing together modern and contemporary artists working across printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture, installation, and video, the exhibition reveals how cutting, layering, gathering, and recombining materials can open new ways of seeing the world.

From early collage traditions in 10th-century Japan to the radical experiments of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque in early 20th-century France, artists have long turned to fragments, found materials, and everyday objects to make something new. Today, these approaches remain urgent and imaginative tools for exploring memory, identity, the environment, consumerism, and the future.
