Forkin' Around in Riversdale

Bring the whole family to Forkin' Around in Riversdale, a free, family-friendly food and beverage based event with charitable components, presented by the Riversdale Business Improvement District. 20th Street comes alive with local flavours, live entertainment, and a healthy dose of friendly competition.

Graze your way through a lineup of local restaurants, food and beverage vendors and makers, catch live music rolling down the block, and enjoy a 1 hour show from the CCMA's, and a DJ keeping the energy up all day. There's a dedicated kids' zone with FREE face painting, balloons, and games, a tomato-forward restaurant cook-off judged by event sponsors, and the month-long Foodie Passport rewarding diners who collect stamps across Riversdale all August.

The day's headline spectacle is a head-to-head figure-eight bathtub race — teams of four battling through heats to a championship final, with prizes for the fastest tub, the slowest (legal) tub, and best costume. Want to race? We provide the tubs you just need to enter a team and pay the fee!

It's a celebration that gives back: 50% of the bath tub race fee goes to support the Crocus Co-operative, and an on-site Fill the Tub drive collects donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.
