YXE Urban Games Taking a Pause in 2026

After two years of high-energy sport, art, and culture, YXE Urban Games will be taking a pause in 2026. 

Since 2024, the Games have welcomed thousands of attendees, showcased incredible local and international talent, and created meaningful moments of community pride. We’re proud of what we’ve built together. 

Now, we’re taking time to reset and plan for the future. 

This pause allows us to explore how the Urban Games can return in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and built for long-term success in Saskatoon. Over the next year, we’ll be listening, evaluating, and considering new ideas and formats that better reflect our city and its seasons. 

Our commitment to celebrating urban sport, art, youth, and culture remains strong. 

This isn’t goodbye, it’s a reset.
